* Reflecting on Creacamp and events in general

Finally I found some time to write about m-c’s Creacamp event last Saturday. It was refreshing for me, to be surrounded by creative people. People who are not technology-centric, people who use technology - of course - but without talking about it. Because tech is just not important!
There is a need for many of these events. Not just one! The “one size fits all” concept is just boring - I relate to bigger events (like the popular BarCamp events) which are always complaining about the lack of women at these events. We have to free ourselves that there should be one event which fits all. That’s just wrong idealism - nature is too colorful and too chaotic - there won’t be one event for all. 
Nevertheless I will attend the next RoCoCoCamp and Creacamp and BarCamp etc. - being one of the few people who attends many different events, acting as a “connector”, maybe.

The way I remember it, first it was women wondering why they weren’t invited, not BarCampers “complaining” there weren’t enough women. We gladly agree there weren’t enough and want to invite more but, you know, in terms of accuracy, it was initially “oooooh no women speakers, why don’t they invite us” and it went from there.
