We, m-c and I are about to blog about the Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) in Québec / Canada. We have rented a car, loaded our multimedia phones and video cameras, made some free harddisk space on our PowerBooks and bought a delicious cake for the car ride from Montréal to Victoriaville. Oh, I just found the official press release of the festival which describes the event very well:

Victoriaville, April 11, 2006 – May 18-22, Victoriaville will be the privileged home of creative music. For its 23rdedition, the Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) has chosen a noisier path, although, as always, a wide range of avant-garde music currents will be featured, with a special focus on vocal projects.

We are looking forward to blog about the concert of Fennesz and Mike Patton on Sunday, May 21st at 3pm (at Colisée) as well as Dälek, Rahzel and Mike Patten on Monday, May 22nd at 8:30pm (at Colisée).

Wir haben uns einen Mietwagen besorgt, unsere multimedia Kameras aufgeladen, freien Platz auf unseren Powerbooks freigeschaufelt und sind nun bereit, um die Reise von Montréal nach Victoriaville anzutreten, um morgen (Sonntag) vom Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) in Québec / Canada zu bloggen.

Victoriaville, April 11, 2006 – May 18-22, Victoriaville ist die Heima der kreativen Musik. In der 23. Ausgabe hat das Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) einen experimentelleren Pfad betreten, ohne jedoch die avantgardistische Musikszene zu vernachlässigen. Der Fokus befindet sich in diesem Jahr auf Gesangsprojekte.

Wir freuen uns auf das Konzert von Fennesz und Mike Patton am Sonntag, 21. Mai um 15:00 Uhr (im Colisée) und auf das Konzert von Dälek, Rahzel und Mike Patton am Montag, 22. Mai um 20:30 Uhr (im Colisée). Ehrlich gesagt, weiss ich noch nicht genau, was sound-mässig auf uns zukommt!
